Around this time over the past several years, I’ve been granted the privilege of volunteering to photograph events for the Hawaii International Film Festival. I always look forward to this assignment because I get to see some familiar faces and get to test my event photography bonafides in a fast-paced, fun atmosphere.

But since this is 2020, the festival has largely been socially-distantized. In it’s absence, I want to share some of my favorite photos from past HIFF years:
