Rookie mistakes plagued my Sunday morning. Shooting on consecutive mornings is tough! My mistakes started with late afternoon coffee consumption the day before that made sleep in a timely manner very difficult for me. I eventually nodded off sometime after 1am and woke up around 3:30am to multiple alarms to make it to the location in time. I gathered all my things the night before, but failed to check the memory card slot in my camera before leaving the house. I didn’t realize I was memory card-less until I found my composition, set up my rig, turned the camera on, and saw the “Memory Card Slot Empty” message on my camera LCD. Yep, I’m basic. Fortunately, I was accompanied this morning by accomplished photographer: Ryan Sakamoto who kindly lent me a memory card and an adhesive bandage when I literally climbed into a rock with my forehead leading the way making my circuitous journey to meet him.

Thankfully, I made it mostly in one piece to the best part of my weekends, post photography breakfasts at Moke’s Bread and Breakfast. Yum!
