Sorry folks, I know it’s been a while! I’ve been exhausted from work, playing catch-up on adulting on the weekends, and sometimes being lazy or irresponsible with my time. I am alive and fully CoVID vaccinated, so there is that! I’ve also felt less motivated to shoot sunrises as of late. The cohort I photograph with have been hyper focused on the same spot whereas I prefer greater variance. I know that I haven’t unlocked the full potential of any location, but seeing the same spots week after week kinda puts me in a rut. I played around with expanding my map, and shooting sunrise without filters and the tripod and using a portrait lens, but without seeing a place with fresh eyes, I get stuck.

This accident is sadly the most interesting photo I’ve taken in the last month. It happened because as I picked up the tripod to move to a new composition, the remote trigger i stuffed in my pocket kept pressing the shutter button as I walked.

The sunrise is also starting to get obnoxiously early. 😪 ⅔ of the last 3 times I went out, I was late 🙄. The good news is I have one other set of photos in the editing queue I have to edit and hope to share in the near future that I’m excited about! No new MacBook Pro was announced so I’m still struggling with my mid-2011 iMac… I’m crossing my fingers for a WWDC update? Please, Apple!
